Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Jun 14th, 2009 by admin
Stress leads to muscle tension, which in turn leads to further stress, tiredness and pain. One way of releasing tension is to use something called progressive muscle relaxation.
The way it works is that you tighten muscle groups all over your body, one at a time and then relax.
Start off by tightening the muscles in one of your feet. Hold the muscles tightly for a few seconds, and then relax. Feel the difference in your foot. Continue with your other foot. Go through the whole body in this way. Breathe deeply and continuously release tension throughout the whole process.
Relax and enjoy your life.
